As soon as you set your date! Our professionals book up quickly, sometimes more than a year in advance. Since having beautiful wedding music is a very important aspect of your special day, it's vital that you reserve your msicians as soon as you set your wedding date. Failing to do so may result in you ending up with a student musician or a stereo system!
Yes! We network with all the local professionals and are able to provide just about any combination of instruments you request. Duets are available for two violins, violin and piano, violin and cello, or violin and guitar. String Trios and Quartets are also possible to coordinate based on availability.
We typically arrive 30 minutes prior to your ceremony start time in order to allow us adequate time to setup and discuss music cues with the procession assistant.
We can play just about any song you request! We need one month advance notice to order the sheet music. Special requests songs carry an additional $10 fee per song to cover the cost of the sheet music.
We do not need to attend the dress rehearsal. If we are coordinating with another musician that you have chosen, (i.e., a family or friend that sings or plays the piano) then a dress rehearsal will be required, in which case there will be an additional $50 charge.
A signed copy of the contract you received (if you filled out our online contract request) and a 50% deposit will reserve your date. The remaining amount is due one month prior to your ceremony.
We will need your music selections no later then one month prior to your ceremony. Especially, if you have a special song request that is not listed on the website.
For your procession to run as smoothly as possible, it is important that a family or friend is able to provide the violinist with cues as each party of your procession is ready to begin walking down the aisle. This person should be dependable, not a party to the procession and will need to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony to learn cues from the violinist.
Most wedding ceremonies typically only last 20-30 minutes. The minimum time we require per booking; however, is one hour. This allows us time to set-up, go over the cues with your processional assistant, play 10-15 minutes of prelude music as your guests are being seated, your ceremony and your postlude music. By the time it's all said and done it usually equals about one hour.
If your guest list stays under 150 people there is no need for amplification. Our Violinists are seasoned professionals who are able to project their instruments properly so that everyone in the audience will be able to hear and enjoy the music. If you plan on having more than 150 attendees, either amplification or adding an additional instrument or two would be a good idea.
Although it is not required, gratuity is greatly appreciated by our musicians.
We accept check or money order by mail. You may also pay by debit or credit card online at paypal. Our violinists cannot accept payment on the day of your event.
Because of the nature of our instruments, we cannot expose them to extreme weather. If there is any precipitation (even light) you will need to provide adequate covering or a "Plan B". Temperatures above 90 degrees in the summer or below 55 degrees in the winter can cause the instrument to crack or warp. Unfortunately, we are unable to issue refunds in the instance of rain or extreme weather conditions, so it's a good idea to have a back up plan. (Your guests will think so too.)
In the event of a serious accident/illness, hospitalization, or other act of God would one of our Violinists cancel on the day of your wedding. Even then, we will do our best to find a substitute.
